Olathe

With a population of 106,000 and growing, Olathe, pronounced O-Lay'-tha, is the second largest among the 21 communities in Johnson County and the fifth largest city in Kansas. It is located just 20 miles southwest of downtown Kansas City, with all of the cultural advantages of a major metropolitan area.

Olathe has much to offer, with pleasing neighborhoods, excellent Fire and Police Departments, a school system that is one of the best in the nation and a wide variety of recreational activities, from hot-air ballooning to sail boarding.

Paola

With a rich history that includes Indian tribes, Spanish explorers, French Jesuit missionaries and western settlers, Paola is truly “where yesterday meets tomorrow”. Stroll the historic Paola Park Square and you will see buildings constructed in the 1850s, 1870s and 1880s. However, step into these buildings and you will find many opportunities for antique, gift and specialty shopping with modern conveniences.

In Paola you can tour historic sites as well as camp, swim, water-ski, fish, picnic or just relax!

Osawatomie

A town of 4,645 on the Marais des Cygnes River, Osawatomie is the historic site of the Battle of Osawatomie, in which proslavery forces burned the settlement and killed one of abolitionist John Brown's sons. The name Osawatomie is a combination of syllables from the Osage River and the Pottawatomie Creek. The John Brown Museum is located in Osawatomie.

Louisburg

Louisburg is the fastest growing city in Miami County, Kansas and is located just south of the Kansas City metropolitan area at the intersection of Kansas Highway 68 and U.S. Highway 69. Louisburg provides an escape from city life to a rural lifestyle with an easy commute to the metropolitan area for work and pleasure. Gardner is the second most rapidly growing community in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Just 25 miles south of Kansas City, Gardner is a historic town with a keen vision for the future. Founded in 1857, Gardner is focusing on providing for growth and development, yet is committed to maintaining its traditional, small-town values.
