to make a gift:
- Gifts
of cash supplement
the cost of providing health services and programs, as well as
help defray costs for those who are unable to pay for services.
- Memorial
gifts are meaningful and reassuring ways to remember
a loved one while helping others.
- Gifts
of securities that have appreciated in value may
enable you to avoid capital gains taxes and get an income tax
deduction for the market value of your gift.
- Bequests through
your will, trust or insurance policy may allow you to make a sizable
gift that will help other families and individuals in the future.
- Charitable
remainder trusts are very popular and secure ways
to create more income during your retirement
years. You may even be able to maintain the size of your estate
for your heirs.
- Matching
gifts can sometimes enable you to "double" the size
of your gift with the help of your employer.

Compassionate
Care Legacy Society
The newly established Compassionate Care Legacy
Society recognizes persons who have made a lasting commitment to
the future of health care in our growing service area. The members of the
Society have named Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation
(or a not-for-profit affiliate of our organization) as a beneficiary in
their
will or other estate plans.
Tree of Memories
Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation works with the
Miami County Medical Center Auxiliary to celebrate Tree of Memories,
a holiday program that benefits Hospice of Olathe Medical Center. Both
Olathe Medical Center and Miami County Medical Center have Tree of Memories
events where friends and family members decorate an evergreen tree with
beautiful ornaments that they have bought to honor the memory of loved
ones. The generous contributions help Hospice
of Olathe Medical Center to bring comfort and care to individuals and
families in the area who may be facing a life-threatening illness.
Yuletide Gala
The Yuletide Gala is an annual fundraising event for the
membership of the Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation, medical
staff, sponsors and their guests. The Gala provides financial support
for many programs and services of Olathe Medical Center. Your generous
gifts for this annual holiday event, held on the first Saturday
of December, make a real
difference in elevating the quality of medical and health care for
everyone.
Golf Classic
Our Golf Classic is an annual fundraiser
organized by employee and community volunteers. Enjoy a round
of golf on a superb course, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coach's clinic,
music,
great prizes and the satisfaction of helping your Olathe Medical Center.
Scholarships and Awards
Several generous benefactors have provided funds for annual employee scholarships
and awards.
Spirit Shop
Employees and Volunteers may show their “spirit” by purchasing
select OHSI merchandise. Proceeds benefit the Employer of Choice committee’s
employee activities.
Tribute Gardens of Life
This Memorial Day event benefits Hospice of Olathe Medical Center and
provides funds for tribute gardens on our 270-acre campus.
