A Warm Welcome to Our Center
We are eager to listen to your concerns about cancer and provide resources for
you to make important decisions. We are a cancer information resource to assist
you in broad-based, cancer-related information.
The Cancer Resource Center provides you with cancer materials and health
information including brochures and videos for all ages. Other resources
include:
- Cancer
support programs and classes for cancer patients and their families
such as:
- cancer
wellness program,
- "I
Can Cope" educational classes and
- cancer
support group.
- Look Good…Feel
Better classes,
- Nutritional
supplements,
- Private
consultations,
- Items
such as wigs and breast prostheses and
- Internet
access to cancer resources, with help of a library professional.
Located in Suite 301 of The Doctor's Building 2, the Cancer Resource
Center is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and walk-ins
are
welcome.

Making an Appointment
Schedule an appointment by contacting the Cancer Resource
Center at 913-393-8230. If there are no appointments, then the specialists
will not be available as resources. Appointment times with available
specialists are listed below.
- Tuesday
1pm-3pm - Dietician – nutritional coaching
- Wednesday
10am-noon - Chaplain – spiritual needs
- Wednesday
1pm-3pm - Pharmacist – research pharmaceuticals & complementary
medicine options
- Thursday
10am - noon - Librarian – research conditions
- Thursday
1pm-3pm - Social Worker – help find resources to assist with the
emotions of disease-related issues
