Nursing Therapy

Nursing

  • Skilled Assessment
    • Medications
      Education on current or new medications. Administration of IV (intravenous) or IM (intermuscular) medicine. Evaluation of how medicines are working.
    • Skin and Wound Care
    • Urinary Catheter Care
    • Ostomy Care
  • A registered nurse enterostomal therapist can provide specialized care, instruction and evaluation to patients with wound and skin problems or patients with ostomies.
  • Mother/Baby care
    A maternal/child registered nurse clinician is available to provide specialized care and evaluation to mothers and babies with high-risk problems during the pregnancy and after the baby is born.

Therapy

  • Physical Therapy - Assists with:
    • changes or disorders in the musculo-skeletal system because of surgery or injury,
    • illness or aging by providing home exercise programs (such as walking and muscle strengthening and rebuilding) and/or
    • a physician-directed rehabilitation plan.
  • Speech Therapy - Assists with:
    •  voice disorders,
    • speaking difficulties,
    • difficulty with swallowing and
    •  communication difficulties.
  • Occupational Therapy - Assists with issues relating to:
    • changes in ability to accomplish activities of daily living (ADLs),
    • retraining muscles,
    • coordination and
    • issues related to touch and sensation and memory.
