2 East - Pediatrics
You can expect the best of care for your child at Olathe Medical Center. The team of physicians, nurses and allied health personnel, under the umbrella of the family-centered concept, helps to ensure that information is shared in ways you can understand and appreciate. Specially trained pediatric nurses are on duty 24 hours a day in the unit to attend to your child’s needs.

Family members are encouraged to be actively involved with their child's care. We have found that when a family member is present, the child’s anxiety level will be lower; often he or she will require less medication and ultimately recover faster.

Kid-friendly amenities include:

• Child's playroom including books and video games
• Video players
• Child's menu
• Sleeper sofas for parents to stay
• Colorful room decor
• Stickers, stuffed animals and quilts/blankets provided
• Periodic visitors to entertain our pediatric patients

Pediatric patients scheduled for surgery can participate in the Pediatric Pre-op Party.
