that allow families to stay in one convenient room for their entire hospital
stay.

The Birth Place at Olathe Medical Center has amenities unlike any

a queen-size bed, so the needs of mom to rest and sleep are optimized and
promoted in a home-like atmosphere with the utmost comfort possible. A
CD stereo sound system, state-of-the-art medical equipment and storage,
stylish decor and a private whirlpool bath are available in each of the

Specially
Trained Nurses
Nurses at The Birth Place are trained in prenatal and childbirth care, including
high-risk care. Your labor and delivery nurses are specially trained to manage
any complications that may occur with mom or baby. All nurses are certified in
Neonatal Resuscitation to provide quality and competent care to newborns. Certified
lactation consultants and certified breast-feeding educators are available to
mothers who choose to breast-feed their infants.

Our support groups, special sibling classes, Small Talk Line, Lactation Line
and other specialty programs keep women in touch with others who share their
concerns and with the healthcare providers they need. We can help provide important
